The "Home" Depot

I have declared today, July 24, 2010 as: D.I.Y Day: That's right!, "Do It Yo'self" day. Have you ever walked into a Home Depot Store and have seen how many things that are available for Do-It-Yourself projects?? Well, I woke up this morning and looked down at my canary-color polished toes and said to myself "Wow, you are so past due for a pedicure." Then I took a long look at my hands and knew it was time. I thought about heading to the nail salon, waiting approximately 15-20 minutes to get into a massage chair, get a pedi/mani, and pay about $40 for something that will last two weeks?? SO, in a effort to be more aware of my spending habits, I went into my linen closet and said "girl, do it yo'self". Again, I am such the collector of skin care products/accessories and needless to say I had everything I needed for a D.I.Y mani/pedi (even the foot spa!). I have a semi-professional (only because I have no tech license), mani/pedi, with fresh polish and soft hands and feet all for the price of $00.00!

***Tip of the day***:

1.) Apply a protective base coat before adding color polish to your nails. This helps protect your natural nail color. Recommended: Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Protective Base Coat, $4.99
